【創作理念】

重返都市生態風貌

內惟於日治時期因農耕所需，將原有水塘改良為灌溉用埤塘，因而自成一方水系生態，戰後由於城市發展，逐漸將埤塘圍填，直到近年生態保育意識抬頭，城市規劃有了不同的風貌，開始重新思考內惟埤的保留可能，進而規劃出「內惟埤文化生態園區」。

藝術家以馬賽克材質重現內惟埤的水鄉風貌，利用馬賽克的塊面特性，展現埤塘水岸的粼粼波光；而兩側牆面翱翔的白鷺，從車站中展翅飛出，訴說著這塊土地的生態友善。同時，在一片蔚藍水域中，綴上點點綠荷與粉嫩的花苞，讓來到於此的旅客們穿行而過時，感受身旁一抹嬌豔。

【Artist’s Description】

Return to the urban landscape

During the Japanese rule, the ponds in Nei Wei district were reconstructed into farm ponds to facilitate irrigation. Therefore, it had become a water ecological zone. After the war, due to urban development, those farm ponds were leveled. It was not until recently that the consciousness for ecological protection has prevailed and city planning gained a new look. People begin to reconsider the possibilities of preserving the Nei Wei pond to re-plan a “Nei Wei Pi Cultural and Ecological Park.”

The artist used mosaics to re-present the scenes of the water country of Nei Wei Pi. Using the features of the mosaic’s surface to represent the ripples of the pond and both sides of the wall represent egrets, flying out from the station. They tell us the friendliness to the ecology of this piece of land and at the same time, on a piece of blue water. Green lotus leaves and pink lotus buds decorate the blue, to catch visitors’ attention with their magnificence.
